I love internet!

I'm not an internet freak like most my friends do. But as time goes by, I began to discover and peel off the mystery skin of internet and become its curb (which I hate to admit it). I think "coach potato” is the best adjective to describe me once I log on to the internet. My ass sticks on the chair and both eyes stare at the sophisticated screen automatically after 12 midnight.

Last time, I only used internet to check mail, do research, chat with friends through MSN messager and that's all! Moreover, I only online once a week as I thought that it was a waste of time to log on.

Then, until lately, my pc experienced a reformation. Since I’m sharing a PC with my brother, so he is afraid that my files will take up a lot of space. Therefore, I negotiated with my brother and have a treaty with him (hoho……. Sounds serious yeah!), so that I could download song but with quota. Nonetheless, being able to download music is indeed good news for me already.

So, now one of my pastimes is to surf the net and look for music or songs of different genre. I’m able to download music from different languages and different context on my finger tips. This function is especially useful to me as I need to gather a variety of music for the use of theater. Sometime, I would even exchange songs with my friends. Well, downloading songs may not be a hoo-haa thing for most people, but it does for me! Piracy? Hm…….It’s at the bottom of my consideration! For a person who anti-pirated-CD, I do feel a bit evil and guilty when I download music. However, this guilty feeling only holds on for a few seconds. >..<

Next, with the introduction of Skype, the world is getting more wonderful. I have known this service quite some time ago but only started using it when it becomes more prevalent among my gang of friends. What does it for if your friend do not log on to this service? The most significant advantage is that I could attend meeting online without going straight to Cheras. Just because most of theater members are form KL, we always meet up in Cheras, which is 25minutes driving distance from my house. I’m not only wasting my time, but also my precious PETROL! Indeed, it’s so amazing to organize an online meeting. We could talk by using Skype and transfer our file or share our file with other member through MSN Messager. To make it looks more ‘real’, we fix up a webcam, so that we can show each other our pretty faces.

It seems that internet has become my one of my core activities in routine life. I do my research, do my assignment, listen to radio and songs, keep in touch with others and organize meeting through the computer and internet. Just can’t imagine a life without computer and internet. I think I have become a typical pathetic technology slave (a term suggested by my cousin…….. cite it here, just in case someone sues me for plagiarism). Now, I’m afraid that I rely so much on internet that I lost my people skill one day! NO WAY~~
